Metropolis at Metrotown
Project Overview
In collaboration with the City of Burnaby, Ivanhoé Cambridge have completed a Master Plan concept that honors the principles, goals and vision of the City’s Metrotown Downtown Plan (adopted in 2017) and also charts a course toward creating a resilient and sustainable heart of the City’s Downtown. Once approved, this plan will guide redevelopment over the next several decades.
As part of this master planning process we wish to engage with city residents and solicit feedback from the local community to finalize the vision for the consideration of Burnaby City Council.
A first round of public engagement was conducted in 2019.
This second opportunity for input and feedback from the community builds upon the 2019 engagement process.
Round 2 Engagement
Round 2 engagement focuses on the five core principles of the master plan, which were developed with input from round 1. We invite you to explore the following pages to learn more about the project context and each of the core principles, and then provide your feedback. To advance, click “Next” (bottom right, or jump to a specific topic using the menu (top right). To share your input, jump to the “Feedback” button in the top right of the webpage. Please provide your feedback by April 22, 2024.
At the close of this engagement the project team will compile a record of the feedback received and submit to City staff. Staff will then use this input to prepare a report to council, including any recommended amendments to the draft plan.
