Public Art Strategy
Public art will be used to provide attachment and cultural identity and understanding specific to Metropolis at Metrotown. In addition to using art as place-making, it will increase economic sustainability for the area, as people believe art improves an area’s image and perception. Each zone within the project will have an independent Public Art Strategy.
The Public Art Strategy uses a filter for the provision and location of public art based on its degree on a spectrum of five elements: Volume, Size, Interactvity, Analog or Digital and Permanency.
Each zone within the masterplan has been assigned a customized framework applying these 5 filters.
